The aquatic turtle Pseudemys floridana peninsularis - native to Florida, it lives in ponds, lakes and freshwater marshes, in the wild it can reach up to 38 cm.
They prefer an omnivorous diet, as puppies they prefer a higher protein component even if the vegetarian component must never be missing and as they grow it becomes the predominant part of their diet.
They need a turtle tank with a submerged swimming area and an emerged area where they like to rest from time to time.
The presence of a filter and heater is recommended, being of tropical origins it prefers temperatures around 25 degrees.
