Seresto Cat

Gray, odorless, adjustable anti-parasite collar for cats with a controlled release system of active ingredients against fleas and ticks, for use from the 10th week of the cat's life.
The package contains one collar.

• Pharmaceutical product
• Target species: cat
• For the treatment and prevention of flea infestation (Ctenocephalides felis) for 7-8 months.
• The product protects the animal's surroundings from the development of flea larvae for 10 weeks.
• Seresto can be used as part of a treatment strategy for the control of Flea Allergy Dermatitis (FAD).
• The product has a persistent acaricidal (knockdown) efficacy (Ixodes ricinus, Rhipicephalus turanicus) and a repellent (anti-feeding) efficacy against tick infestations (Ixodes ricinus) for 8 months.
• The product is effective against larvae, nymphs and adult ticks.

Further information:

• Ticks already present on the cat before treatment may not be killed within 48 hours of applying the collar and may remain attached and visible. It is therefore recommended to remove any ticks already present on the cat at the time of application.
• Prevention of new tick infestations begins within two days after application of the collar.
• Ideally, the collar should be applied before the start of flea or tick season.
• Use during pregnancy and lactation: Laboratory studies with both flumethrin and imidacloprid in rats and rabbits have demonstrated no adverse effects on fertility or reproduction, nor any teratogenic or fetotoxic effects. However, toxicity studies during pregnancy and lactation have not been conducted in the target animals. Therefore, in the absence of available data, the product is not recommended for pregnant and lactating females.

Contraindications:
Do not treat kittens under 10 weeks of age.
Do not use in animals with known hypersensitivity to the active substances or to any of the excipients.
