The infrared heating lamp emits infrared heat waves and is therefore a heating lamp. The infrared lamp is equipped with a special built-in reflector to direct the heat in any desired direction. The red glass transmits infrared waves produced by the bulb's special filament. The reddish light doesn't interrupt normal activity, day or night, making it an excellent 24-hour heat source. The infrared lamp allows you to direct heat to create a temperature gradient in the terrarium.
