As soon as your dog turns seven months old, it's time to switch from a puppy diet to a young dog diet. Your four-legged friend has become a lively little rascal! He's just entered a developmental phase where he grows more slowly than during the first six months of life. That's why we've developed our fit & vital Junior specifically for young dogs. It has a lower energy content than puppy foods, but provides all the nutrients and minerals a young dog needs for healthy growth from the seventh month onwards. Our fit & vital Junior contains five animal proteins, including poultry and lamb. Gluten-free rice is easily digestible and provides the energy he needs to romp around. Additionally, calcium and vitamin D3 promote the healthy development of bones, ligaments, tendons, and joints. And a vitality complex based on yeast and herbs aids digestion.

When can I gradually change the diet from that of a puppy to that of a young and adult dog?

From the seventh month of life, your dog stops being a puppy and becomes a young dog. At this point, you should transition to a diet appropriate for his developmental stage. Wondering what the recommended amount of food is for young dogs? The right amount is based on your young dog's final adult weight and age in months. You can find this information in the feeding recommendations below. Also good to know: unlike as a puppy, when your little friend needed several meals a day, now only two meals a day are sufficient. His stomach is now large enough for this rate to be sufficient.

General administration methods:
