Special diet for cats with struvite stones
Happy Cat VET Diet Struvit is a complete, dietary food used to dissolve struvite stones and reduce their recurrence. The diet is also suitable for cats with feline urological syndrome (FUS). This special food is characterized by high-quality processed proteins and a reduced magnesium and phosphorus content, while its urine-acidifying properties effectively lower urine pH. The slightly higher sodium content helps cleanse the urinary tract through increased water absorption. It also contains dandelion and nettle leaves, which are traditionally used as a supplement to standard urinary tract therapy.
- A moderate protein content and a reduction in magnesium and phosphorus content contribute to the dissolution and reduction of struvite stone formation.
- A slightly higher sodium content allows the urinary tract to be washed out by absorbing more water
- Thanks to the acidifying properties of urine, the pH value of urine is effectively reduced.
Happy Cat VET Struvit is only available on veterinary recommendation.
Additional information:
- It is advisable to consult a veterinarian before administering the food.
- For optimal results, feed only this diet. It is recommended to consult a veterinarian before use and before extending the duration of use.
- The transition to another suitable food should preferably take place in 10% increments over a period of at least 2-4 weeks.
