Using the feeding chart as a guide, feed the portion of food over the stool, leaving it loose, or feed it in 2–4 portions daily, trying to ensure they are always at the same time. The food can be fed alone or mixed with milk or warm. If you make a change to the diet, try to do so gradually, over 4 or 5 days, to avoid the onset of gastrointestinal upset.
